Wedding and anniversary gifts from a photo: what to give when they already have everything
Weddings get money and appliances. A year later, no one remembers who gave what. A painting made from a photo of the ceremony still hangs in the bedroom ten years on.
The hardest thing about a wedding gift is that newlyweds have a list, and nothing personal is ever on it. A photo from the ceremony, the first dance, or the honeymoon solves that problem — it belongs to them alone, and you can't buy it at a shopping centre.

A photo from the ceremony or first dance in watercolour. Light tones, a romantic feel, works in the bedroom or living room.
First anniversary
A poster made from the photo they love most together. The paper symbolism fits, and the price is friendly.
A milestone anniversary
An oil painting on a large canvas. It looks like a portrait they had commissioned — just twenty years later.
Parents' anniversary
Their old wedding photo. Take it from the album, photograph it with your phone by a window, and have it turned into an oil painting.
Engagement
A digital file as the announcement, with a print to follow later. Quick, yet still personal.
A little extra alongside the main gift
A pair of mugs with the same image. Used every morning — which is more than you can say for a flower vase.
Timing
Order about a week ahead. If you've forgotten, the digital file is available immediately after payment — you can print it at a photo lab, or send it as a heads-up that the print will follow in a few days.

What if I only have watermarked photos from a photographer?
Use a photo without a watermark — you're usually entitled to one once you've paid the photographer. We can't work with photos carrying someone else's watermark.
Can I give a voucher and let them choose themselves?
Not yet. In practice, you can work around this by ordering the digital file and leaving the printing to them.
Will the dress detail show in the painting?
It depends on the style. A realistic portrait keeps the most detail, pop art simplifies it. You'll see this in the preview beforehand.
Can I get two identical paintings for both families?
Yes, just order two of the same product.
